faqFrequently Asked Questions

1 Does the tariff include Electric?

Yes, Electric hook-up, water, waste disposal, shower facilities and rubbish collection are all included in the price.

2 What is the Arrival & Departure times?

You may arrive between 12 noon and 4pm without informing us of your expected arrival time.  We do ask you to let us know what time you hope to arrive if it will be after 4pm.

Departure is to be by 12 noon, but a late departure may be booked, if available, for a fee.

3 Do you have hard standing?

Yes, all of our pitches are gravelled.  The site is level and well drained.  We have large motorhomes pitched on site frequently which have no problems at all.

4 Can we walk into York?

There are no footpaths on “our road”, and it is a very busy road, so we cannot recommend walking along it.  We do have a rural bus service the stops at the end of the drive – Reliance Bus Service – and there is also a Park & Ride a short distance away.

5 Can we bring our pet?

Certainly! Well behaved pets are free of charge.  There is a public footpath where you can walk your dog along the rear of the site.

6 Can we bring our teenage children?

The park is exclusively for adults, which means that it is strictly for people aged 18 years and over.  The essence of our park is peace and tranquillity.  You are more than welcome however to meet your families in the Farm Shop & Café onsite, and enjoy time with them there.

7 Do you take groups?

We can take mixed groups on the tent site, subject to availability.  Pitches are first come, first served, so it’s not easy to provide group space.

Please Note: The owners have the right to refuse admission to any caravans/tents/vehicles or guests that they consider unsuitable.

We also reserve the right to ask you to leave the park if you do not adhere to our policy of peace and tranquillity.

8 Do you reserve pitches?

We do not reserve pitches, it’s simply a case of first come, first served.

9 Is the site ever closed?

No, the site is open 365 days of the year, with bookings accepted over the Christmas period too.
